About Me
I have always loved telling stories. While I'm a slow writer (this bio has taken me forever) and a poet only when hungry or love-struck, telling stories through illustration is where I feel most at home. It started with character designs when I was kid, gradually evolving to fantasy landscapes, and even horror creature concepts with deep lore in recent months. Eventually my artist journey has lead me here, where I create cozy couple art for people and their loved ones.
I try to draw each illustration as though you're watching the story unfold from above. When I design rooms, I utilize architecture concepts like prospect and refuge to push cozy vibes, which I emphasize using color scheming honed through years of trial and error (I'm red-green colored-blind). When I create outdoor illustrations, I try to convey vast landscapes and beautiful skies, stylized with maximum Disney-magic in mind. My favorite part is adding the tiny, story-telling elements, like a stray sock hanging out of a dresser drawer, an anniversary date on a calendar, a moose sipping water in a distant river, or fireflies dancing around a campfire. These are the little things which I think really bring the pieces to life.
Through this most recent endeavor, I feel my art has been given new meaning. It is deeply rewarding for me to help you celebrate life’s moments, big or small, and I’m so grateful to able to use my greatest passion to capture and tell your stories.
When I’m not drawing, I like enjoying nature, photography, practicing hacky-sack, snowboarding, and playing smash bros (if you can beat me I’ll give you a commission discount).
